This comprehensive program is purely a classroom setting with the added bonus of guest speakers from U.S. Lawshield and Lonestar Jujitsu to go over some basic self-defense moves. mid 2020, the Co-Founder of Salty Grits, Jennifer Knight was representing her first set of buyers as a REALTOR®, when she experienced something that would change her life forever.
During a home showing, Jennifer and her client were forced to think quickly as they realized they were not alone in the home. By God's grace, they were able to successfully evade an intruder.
This incident later led Jennifer and her Mother, Jackie to the idea of creating a situational awareness and self-defense program with the girls who were raised in the South.
Salty Grits provides classes specifically to help a REALTOR® prepare for potential threats and dangerous situations. Our situational awareness classes also count towards your CE (continuing education courses).
The mother and daughter team plans to expand this program outside of the real estate industry to include small businesses, local organizations and individuals.
